In partnership, Essex County, the Department of Parks, the Environmental Center and Branch Brook Park Alliance hosted subject-matter expert Tony Cullen, Ph.D. in October of 2021 for the general public to learn more.
Tony works for the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, Plant Protection and Quarantine as the Supervisor for the New Jersey Spotted Lanternfly (SLF) program. He and his colleagues are working to reduce SLF populations in state, while mitigating the spread of SLF to other states.
