Mendelssohn Garden

Located in the Prudential Concert Grove, Mendelssohn garden hosts a variety of species, all of which are deer resistant and pollinator friendly. At the time of this writing, species native to New Jersey in this garden include Coral Bells, Big Leaf Aster, Black Eyed Susan, Bush Honeysuckle, and Ostrich Fern. The garden is partly shaded by four evenly spaced American Elm trees. Hence, a majority of the plants beneath the Elms are tolerant of part sun and part shade conditions, with a few requiring full sun or full shade.
