The BBPA is committed to raising awareness of the tranquility that Branch Brook Park offers to the local community as a sacred, democratic space where people from diverse backgrounds can meet on common ground. BBPA and the Essex County Department of Parks, Recreation & Cultural Affairs are partners in improving this oldest of Essex County's parks, the crown jewel of the first County parks system in the nation and a tourist destination for visitors from around the world.

BBPA launches 2009-10 Annual Appeal. As envisioned by Frederick Law Olmsted, Sr. 150 years ago, Essex County Branch Brook Park is an urban oasis! This masterpiece of landscape architecture is also listed on both the National and State Registers of Historic Places. Ten years ago, the Branch Brook Park Alliance and Essex County joined in a public-private partnership to restore and revitalize this free public space, open to all, 365 days a year. In addition to sponsoring popular community activities, the monies raised by the BBPA also fund the design and oversight of capital projects. During this season of giving, we are asking you to support our ongoing efforts to keep this jewel the most brilliant in the crown of the first county park system in the nation. Please join us by considering a year-end contribution today!
